Ah, the GOOD OL’ DAYS…
I was having a conversation just the other day about the demise of most “brick and mortar” retail stores. It’s a shame most of them are going out of business. Stores I used to visit on the weekends as a kid are closing up some of their locations or going out of business altogether. Does anyone remember Brendle’s or Best? They both closed up in the late 90s. Sad really. I can’t say that I haven’t contributed in some way to the cause. I just recently visited a mall I haven’t been to in over a year. How is that possible? I’m an online shopper. Like most people today I do most if not all of my shopping online.
So how is what’s happening in retail coincide with insurance. The same thing is happening in the insurance industry. More and more insureds are purchasing their insurance online and because of it companies are focusing their attention online.
Is it safe to say the GOOD OL’ DAYS are gone? I don’t think so. Just like history has a way of repeating itself, I hope it will come back around full circle. Here’s why. Who likes to sit on hold for several minutes just to get a person who doesn’t know you? Sure they know your name and address, but do they really know you? They tell you they have handled your issue, only to find out later, it didn’t get taken care of. When you call back they have no record of you calling and you can’t remember the person’s name you talked to. Don’t you just hate when that happens? If you’re tired of being just a “policy number” then call us…
